For students to acquire the manual and mental skills associated with learning physics, the pupils are engaged in laboratory activities like taking measurement of physical quantities with appropriate accuracy, recognition of factors that could affect the reliability of their measurements, inference and reasoning from their observations and develop the skill and ability to rationally defend their conclusions and predictions. Butterfly field experiments with reference to topics related to the syllabus like force of gravity, projectile motion, momentum etc are conducted in the physics lab.
